Natural diet drugs banned.

Two more ‘natural’ diet drugs have hit problems with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) this month.

Today, Slim-30 Herb Supplement was found to contan sibutramine, a diet drug banned in Europe and carrying a warning in the US on account of increased heart attacks and stroke.

About 10 days ago, the issue was Que She, marketed as a combination of 11 natural Chinese herbal remedies. The FDA found four problems – fenfluramine, withdrawn from the market because it may cause serious heart valve damage; propranolol, that may be hazardous to patients with bronchial asthma or certain heart conditions; sibutramine, a drug that studies have shown may increase heart attack and stroke risk; and ephedrine, a stimulant that may have adverse cardiovascular effects.

It could be best to make sure your natural really is natural.
